MHAF provides initial 910,000 meals in collaboration with local partners

The Maritime Humanitarian Aid Foundation (MHAF) is proud to have partnered with local Palestinian partners in Gaza to provide 910,000 meals to Gazans travelling back to their homes since the start of the ceasefire in Gaza.

The meals mark the start of a new collaboration between MHAF and partners on the ground. Our shared goal is to provide nutritious meals at scale to Gazans amid the terrible humanitarian conditions in Gaza.

Our immediate priority is to serve meals throughout the Holy Month of Ramadan as we expand operations. The 910,000 meals served to an estimated 27,000 people already is therefore just the start of our work together. MHAF has purchased bulk aid supplies to scale-up the initial activity of the kitchens over the coming weeks and financed the delivery of 62 trucks of aid in recent days, which will be used to provide meals during Ramadan.

Our collaboration with local Palestinian partners is a core element of the Foundation’s approach. Our ethos is to act with urgency, energy, and efficiency to meet humanitarian needs – we believe the best way to do so is to work through local partners on-the-ground who can go the final mile and deliver aid to those in need quickly and efficiently.

We look forward to deepening our work and feeding more people at this special time of year for communities in Gaza.
